MT VERNON RAFT UP WEEKEND
SATURDAY/SUNDAY - JULY 25/26
UNDERWAY FROM GANGPLANK AT 10 AM
Tired of physically distancing in port?
Cruise on down the Potomac River and spend the weekend within view of George Washington's Mount Vernon.
BUT REMEMBER: Nothing has changed about the novel coronavirus ability to infect people with COVID-19. Still no vaccine or cure. So for safety sake, I ask that all captains limit their crew numbers so physical distancing can be achieved on their vessel. You may anchor on your own or join in a raft up, captain's choice. Before you board another vessel, ensure you have the captain's permission and maintain physical distance while visiting. Above all be courteous and respectful.
First captain to arrive pick an area out of the channel and set up camp. There is decent depth on the Maryland side southwest of Bryan Point near buoy 71, right across from Mount Vernon Estate.
Unfortunately, I am out of town and will not be able to join in the fun. Safe travels.
